This book is designed to help learners from preschool through elementary, but will also serve those with dyscalculia or weak numeracy skills. The concepts are universal and the difficulty level can be adjusted according to the child's age and understanding.

Unlike traditional school lessons that often focus on rote memorization, our course emphasizes understanding concepts deeply using the Concrete, Representational, Abstract approach. You'll help them understand how mathematical processes work, promoting flexible thinking and problem solving rather than relying on the mechanics of algorithms without true knowledge of how and why they work. 

If your child is struggling, you may need to repeat previous concepts. Look for 90% or higher mastery of a concept before moving on to the next. The course offers multiple representations of the same concept - try them all before moving on. See if your child can explain the concept to you verbally to ensure their understanding. Most of all, have patience. Students with dyscalculia, dyslexia or other learning disabilities need anywhere from 40 to 200 repetitions for a skill to become automatic.
